MEET THE ASSISTANT TRAINER

Maddy Alford

Maddy started her riding career at the age of 10. She took off successfully competing in the huntseat breedshow classics and english pleasure. She then launched her fulltime focus to her eventing career in Ocala, FL as a working student under Hillary Irwin Eventing and Conor Rollins Equestrian.

In her free time she uses her knowledge in therapeutic riding, eventing, and english pleasure to help people and horses become more connected on the ground and undersaddle.

Maddy strongly values that hard work pays off when it comes to the sport.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

"Locust Grove Arabians is a wonderful barn! My mare comes here for the winter and I cannot begin to express how happy I am with the care she receives. Whitney feeds high quality hay and grain. The horses are also turned out consistently and the attention to detail is wonderful! I highly recommend this barn for boarding or lessons!"

About

Locust Grove Arabians

The original barn was comprised of 6 stalls for Whitney's horses and a few client horses.  Later, the boarder stalls, tack room and indoor arena was added.

The facility has 16 matted horse stalls, a lighted 60' x 140' indoor riding arena with heated viewing/tack room , a brand new 85' x 115' outdoor arena as well as paddocks and pastures for turnout.

Each horse gets a heated water bucket in the winter,  and two buckets for the summer months. Outside troughs are heated during the winter months as well. Horses are turned out daily (weather permitting) in compatible groups.
